In January 2023, I had the privilege of photographing Leanne and Andrew’s lovely engagement photos at Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago. They picked this unique spot for their winter engagement session, which shielded us from the cold while providing a lush setting that perfectly matched their love story.

Every love story starts somewhere, and Leanne and Andrew’s is truly unique. Back in 2017, while they lived in Lakeview, they had a memorable dinner at Stella’s Diner. As they strolled home through an alley afterward, Andrew stopped, looked at Leanne, and said, “I love you” for the first time.

Fast forward five years to 2022, Andrew decided to recreate that special moment. They had brunch at Stella’s Diner again, and after their meal, he suggested a walk through Leanne’s old neighborhood. Passing by the same alley, he asked if they could go through it again.

Leanne hesitated at first, feeling nervous due to some signs she saw along the way. But love conquers fears, and she trusted Andrew. She followed him into the alley, where he got down on one knee and asked her to spend her life with him. With a heart full of love, she said yes.
