Savannah and Jonny’s Las Vegas elopement is one of my favorites to date!! Their elopement weekend was so simple yet had SO much at the same time. I love it. Between their vow exchange at Red Rocks, to their ceremony and reception surrounded by their closest friends and family the following day. There were so many emotions and incredible memories created and captured throughout their elopement weekend!
Before we dig into Savannah and Jonny’s elopement in Las Vegas a little backstory on these two wonderful humans. Savannah was actually my roommate in college for a semester which is how we initially became friends. Then last year Jonny surprised Savannah, (and myself) during our couples session when he proposed to her to which Savannah clearly said yes!
Fast forward to June of this year and Savannah asked if I knew any photographers in the Las Vegas area which I didn’t. The conversation ended there and I didn’t think much of it. Come a month later when I randomly mentioned that I am available for destination weddings, and that’s when Savannah spilt the beans! Turns out they had a date and location set and everything, only catch was it was next month!
Initially, Sav didn’t know if I would be willing to fly out to Vegas for their elopement so she started looking for local photographers. “It didn’t feel right. You’ve taken all our photos and having someone else take our wedding photos felt wrong.” She told me after we talked about their wedding day. I told Sav that I would literally follow them anywhere in the world to document their love story, and so I joined them for their AMAZING Las Vegas elopement. Luckily I was available so we got to ironing out the details and got ready for their Las Vegas Elopement.
We met up at Red Rocks for the first part of their elopement festivities which included some couples portraits followed by a private vow exchange between Savannah and Jonny. Red Rocks is stunningly beautiful and Savannah and Jonny’s wardrobes were both equally as stunning. Hiking Red Rocks with these two was an incredible experience and we seriously lucked out with the most gorgeous sunset when it was time to read their vows. I love when couples take time and create moments like this for their elopement day where they can slow down and take everything in with one another. It was such an emotional moment and Savannah even shed a few happy tears after Jonny read her his vows. The rest of their elopement festivities took place the next day in Las Vegas.
Savannah and Jonny both got ready for their day separately with their closest friends and family. Excitement was through the roof all around. It was so much fun seeing these two having the best time with those they care about most. Jonny and Sav decided to drive with me to their ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel. Their family and friends waited in the hotel lobby for the transportation her stepdad rented out. Sav and Jonny held their ceremony in a pink Cadillac — HOW ICONIC!?. With Elvis as their officiant, surrounded by their closest friends and family, the two said I do and shared their first kiss in the Cadillac.
Savannah and Jonny’s Las Vegas elopement was absolutely perfect! I was able to help with minor things like: their timeline and scouting for the best location for their newlywed photos and vow exchange. These two crafted a day perfect for them and their relationship. I am just so happy I was able to be a part of it! If you’re looking for a destination photographer, head to my contact page to send me an inquiry and we can start planning.
I am forever grateful for all my couples who trust me with one of the most special days in their lives. Thank you to Sav and Jonny for trusting me to witness and document your beautiful wedding day!
