Savannah and Jonny’s Las Vegas elopement is one of my favorites to date and has SO much I love about it. Between their private exchanging of vows at Red Rocks to their ceremony and reception surrounded by their closest friends and family the following day. There were so many emotions and incredible memories created and captured throughout their elopement weekend!
Before we dig into Savannah and Jonny’s elopement in Las Vegas a little backstory on these two wonderful humans. Savannah was actually my roommate in college for a semester which is how we initially became friends. Then last year Jonny surprised Savannah, (and myself) when during our couples session he proposed to her to which Savannah clearly said yes!
Fast forward to June of this year and Savannah asked if I knew any photographers in the Las Vegas area which I didn’t. The conversation ended there and I didn’t think much of it. Come a month later when I randomly mentioned that I am available for destination weddings, and that’s when Savannah spilt the beans! Turns out they had a date and location set and everything, only catch was it was next month!
Initially, Sav didn’t know if I would be willing to fly out to Vegas for their elopement so she started looking for local photographers. “It didn’t feel right. You’ve taken all our photos and having someone else take our wedding photos felt wrong.” She told me after we talked about their wedding day. I told Sav that I would literally follow them anywhere in the world to document their love story, and so I joined them for their AMAZING Las Vegas elopement. Luckily I was available so we got to ironing out the details and got ready for their Las Vegas Elopement.
We met up at Red Rocks for the first part of their elopement festivities which included some couples portraits followed by a private vow exchange between Savannah and Jonny. Red Rocks is stunningly beautiful and Savannah and Jonny’s wardrobes were both equally as stunning. Hiking Red Rocks with these two was an incredible experience and we seriously lucked out with the most gorgeous sunset when it was time to read their vows. I love when couples take time and create moments like this for their elopement day where they can slow down and take everything in with one another. It was such an emotional moment and Savannah even shed a few happy tears after Jonny read her his vows. The rest of their elopement festivities took place the next day in Las Vegas.
Savannah and Jonny both got ready for their day separately with their closest friends and family. Excitement was through the roof all around and it was so much fun seeing these two having the best time with those they care about most. We all met up in their hotel lobby before heading out onto the Las Vegas strip to make our way over to A Little White Wedding Chapel for their elopement ceremony. Their ceremony took place in a pink Cadillac with Elvis as their officiant which was so fitting and fun for Savannah and Jonny. Surrounded by their closest friends and family the two said I do and shared their first kiss in the Cadillac. We snagged some portraits with family and friends as well as some of the newlyweds before sending off their night with a private restaurant reception.
Savannah and Jonny’s Las Vegas elopement was absolutely perfect even with the minimal planning I was able to help with prior. These two crafted a day perfect for them and their relationship and I am just so happy I was able to be a part of it! If you’re looking for a destination photographer for your own elopement head to my contact page to send me an inquiry and we can start planning.
I am forever grateful for all my couples who trust me with one of the most special days in their lives. Thank you to Sav and Jonny for trusting me to witness and document your beautiful wedding day!

[…] When planning your elopement in Big Sur, you’ll want to make sure you go over the details of how you plan to get legally married. One of the best parts about eloping is that there is SO much flexibility about your elopement so you will have plenty of options. There are really three ways my couples tend to elope though. The first is getting legally married in a place like a city hall, or a small intimate ceremony at a location that has an ordained minister on site like Savannah and Jonny’s elopement. […]
