Blanca and Billy’s steamy session in a cute little Oregon cabin on the coast was out of this world. The vulnerability, their connection, and their trust in each other and me as a photographer to document these intimate moments between the two of them was an experience I will cherish forever, and an experience I hope to create with SO many more couples. What is a steamy session?

A steamy session is a photography session showcasing your love in its most true and passionate form. It’s a vulnerable, revealing, and exciting type of session where the focus is on the couple and the intimate connection they share with one another. I absolutely LOVE these sessions! They are some of the most fun session’s that I’ve been a part of and are such a unique experience when you compare them to the more traditional sessions that I’ve photographed throughout my career. As fun and exciting as these sessions are, the idea of being this vulnerable in front of the camera can be pretty intimidating to some when first hearing about steamy sessions. That’s why your comfort is absolutely priority number one when it comes to your session.

Comfort Over Everything

When it comes to steamy sessions like Blanca and Billy’s session where you are being a little more vulnerable and showing sides to your relationship that you might keep private normally, your comfort is EVERYTHING and my main focus. First and foremost we need to be comfortable where we’re having the session. We’ll decide on a location with privacy so that you don’t have to think about anyone else other than each other during your session. Having somewhere you’re both comfortable, both with the privacy and the temperature, is HUGE for your comfort. Focus on your partner as well during your steamy session to stay engaged and not overthink about the session. This shouldn’t be too hard to do once we get going as you’ll want your hands all over your partner!

Lastly, making sure you’re comfortable with me is something I take incredibly seriously. I take the time to get to know you before the session begins so that you don’t feel like you’re doing this all in front of a stranger. We’ll laugh and joke around with each other and I’ll direct you as needed to help you get into your session. There’s such a cool mix of confidence and excitement that comes out of the vulnerability of steamy sessions that I CANNOT wait for you to experience!

Blanca and Billy’s Oregon Cabin Session

For Blanca and Billy’s steamy session we got set in a private cabin in Oregon which had plenty of privacy. The cabin was located on two acres of land and was such a unique space. There was tons to explore both indoors and around the cabin, and being surrounded by the endless natural landscape of Oregon made for such a calming setting for our session. Blanca and Billy were so much fun to photograph, and were incredibly comfortable and down for everything I wanted to try. We had such a great time together and I’m so glad we were able to do this session together!
